Dante Cortello '04

Dante is an attorney at Title Management Group in Metairie.  He graduated from Rummel in 2004 before getting a business degree from UL Lafayette and then his JD from Loyola College of Law.  Dante is active in the community, volunteering his time with the Miracle League of Greater New Orleans as well as helping feed the homeless as a member of the Italian American St. Joseph Society.  He is an advocate for supporting Alumni-owned businesses.  He has 3 brothers who are all Raider Alumni and a sister who is a Chapelle alumna.  Dante is seeking his first term for Alumni Association Board.  Vote for Dante. 


Roch Eshleman '00

Roch Eshleman is a graduate of the Raider Class of 2000.  During his time in school, he was involved in Genesians, Campus Ministry, Big Brothers and Ambassadors among other groups.  In his professional life, he was able to continue work with his Alma Mater through his involvement with the photography vendor used, helping to create additional funding for the school while improving the overall look and feel of the memories created on and off campus.  He has served as the Executive Director of the Professional Photographers of Louisiana, Chairman of the By Laws, Rules and Ethics Committee for the Professional Photographers of America, a Trustee for PPA Charities, a member of the grant review panel or the Arts Council of New Orleans and continues other philanthropic work throughout the community.


Roch is the Director of Public Relations for the Ray Brandt Auto Group, Pascal’s Manale Restaurant and the Ray and Jessica Brandt Family Foundation.  At this year’s Celebrity Waiter’s Dinner, he came in 2nd place for overall fundraising having helped bring in over $50,000 at the event. A lifelong New Orleanian and proud Raider Dad, he is the father of Victor “Vito” Eshleman, Class of 2024, who is on Varsity Football and Ambassadors and a daughter, Lizzie, who attends Ursuline Academy.

Sidney McCann '97

Sidney is the VP/COO of Guardian Services in Kenner.  Sidney graduated from Rummel in 1997 before getting a Bachelor of Science from Our Lady of Holy Cross College and a post baccalaureate certification earned in Accounting and Finance.  Sidney was an Operation Head Start Officer, Big Brother, Campus Minister and a three year Track and Field letterman at Rummel. Sidney has also been active in the Rummel community, serving on the Golf Tournament Committee, worked as a Junior High Track and Field coach and has sponsored numerous Rummel activities.   Sidney is married to Martha Lacayo McCann and they have two daughters (Isabella and Victoria).

Korry Melton '95

Korry Melton is the owner of Bella Productions and has been self-employed in the marketing and television production world for the last 17 years.  Korry is seeking his first term on the Alumni Association Board and has donated his time and video knowledge to the Alumni Association and to Genesians.  Korry will also be instructing a new pre-professional course at Rummel in the fall, TV Production 101.  He has two daughters, the oldest is the vocalist in the Raider Jazz Band and his youngest is in 5th grade at Christian Brothers Middle School. 

Rodrigo Monico '95

Rodrigo has over 15 years of industrial sales/supply chain experience. He is presently employed by CCP Industries, a national manufacturer and distributor, as an area manager in New Orleans. Rodrigo is approaching his 4th work anniversary with CCP Industries. Currently 350 customers are in his book of business and his clients are “customers for life,”which in 
turn solidifies his working relationships.
Rodrigo was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and came to the United States in 1979 at the age of 3 with his family.  He came with his parents, Maria and Jesus, and siblings Carmen and Jesus (Rummel class of 1989).  Rodrigo was actively involved on the Rummel soccer and cross country teams.  Academically, he graduated with honors, was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as selected for Who’s Who Among High School Students.  
Rodrigo is a recipient of the Dale Carnegie sales course, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.  He has an associate’s degree in Business Administration from Delgado Community College, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Matthew Pertuit '06

I attended Rummel from 2001 to 2006.  In addition to receiving a great academic and moral education, I was a member of the swim team from 8th grade through my senior year.  I joined varsity swim team my freshman year, and I earned my letterman jacket in my sophomore year after qualifying for State.  In my senior year, I advanced from the preliminary heats into the final two rounds in the 100 yard butterfly, ultimately placing ninth in the state.  In 2006, I graduated from Rummel with Honors only months after Hurricane Katrina.


Following my graduation from Rummel, I attended LSU, where I earned a Bachelors Degree in 2010.  Following graduation from LSU, I attended Southern University Law Center, where I obtained a Juris Doctorate in 2014.  I have been admitted to practice law in the state of Louisiana since 2015.  I am employed with the law firm of Chehardy Sherman Williams in Metairie.  I work on the firm’s Trial Team, where I have the privilege of working high end litigation wherein we are hired to try cases not just in the State of Louisiana but in many states across the country.

Jason Renton '88 **

Jason was a Lieutenant for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office where he recently retired after 30+ years in narcotics, and is now working for the United States Government as a Security Specialist.  He is seeking his third and final term on the Alumni Association Board and is Past President.  Jason donates/cooks at the Beast Feast, participates in the Fishing Rodeo/Family Fest, is on the Crawfish Cook-Off Committee, and has co-chaired the Raider Golf Classic since 2013.  Jason’s son Jacob ‘19, is attending LSU, and seeking a degree in construction management.

Peyton Theriot '12

Peyton Theriot graduated from his beloved Archbishop Rummel High School in 2012.  Archbishop Rummel has always played a part in his life as over 20 family members have graduated our school. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is now a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Peyton is also active in his community as he participants in the following:

  • Secretary role on the board of the Jefferson’s Children’s Advocacy Center

  • Secretary role on the board of the Executive Achievers Association

  • Girard 11-12 Football Coach (2020 Eastbank Champions)

He attributes an open-mind, fresh ideas, and a tireless work ethic to everything Rummel as his greatest asset to the Alumni Board. As a member of the board Peyton plans to spearhead initiatives that remind us why we love Archbishop Rummel so much and reinforce our commitment to its success.

            Peyton answers the call to support his alma mater whenever and however he can.

Ken Trahan '75

Ken Trahan graduated from Archbishop Rummel in 1975 and from Loyola University of the South with a BA in Communications in 1979.Ken has also served as a play-by-play voice of high school sports since 1979, when he did his first Archbishop Rummel game on radio.

Since 2001, Ken has been the play-by-play voice of Rummel football on radio, raising funds annually to pay for the broadcasts while making additional monies for his alma mater.

Ken serves as a member of the Archbishop Rummel Athletic Hall of Fame nomination and selection committee, volunteers for Career Day and Open House annually at Rummel and has previously emceed Rummel fundraising events.

Ken lives with his wife, Denise (35 years) in Kenner and they have two children, including Sabrina, a Mount Carmel Academy and LSU honors graduate who is a marketing director for a national orthodontics firm and Travis, Rummel Class of 2011, who earned his business degree from Loyola and graduate degree (4.0 GPA) from UNO and is an archaeologist.

Gabe Wright '20

Gabriel is currently a student at Tulane University where he is seeking his bachelor’s degree, to be followed by a law degree. He has been involved at Rummel since starting in 8th grade. He served as both the Ambassador President and Key Club President for his junior and senior years. He was involved with Student Council, Campus Ministry, and Mu Alpha Theta. For the 2019-2020 school year, Gabriel was the Open House keynote speaker, sharing his love for Rummel with hundreds of prospective students and their families. Throughout his time at Rummel, he earned many awards and accolades, culminating with receiving the Archbishop Rummel Award at graduation. He has been assisting with Alumni Association events for the past year and looks forward to working with the board to include and involve young alumni.
