2022 ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR
EDWARD "ED" J. WOMAC, JR. '76

A champion of Archbishop Rummel High School, Edward "Ed" J. Womac Jr. '76 demonstrates his Raider Pride through his diligence and participation in all things pertaining to the Raiders on a regular basis.
The family legacy is secure as Womac has led three generations of Raider legacies to Archbishop Rummel. Womac publicly displays his pride in his alma mater as an example to other Raider alumnus to follow.
Womac proclaims his appreciation to the educational and Christian values taught to him during his time at Rummel as being the foundation that prepared him for college, law school and played a large role in leading to the success he has enjoyed professionally.
During his time at Archbishop Rummel, Womac was deeply involved in many areas, including Track and Field and the Genesian Players.
Womac credits Mr. Chuck Guajardo’s speech class and his time on the stage with helping him learn necessary skills in public speaking which have proven to be very important in serving Womac in his profession.
A graduate of Louisiana State University Law School, Womac founded the Womac Law Firm and he has been practicing law since 1983.
Womac sits on the Board of Trustees for LSU Law School and is on the Visiting Committee for Loyola Law School. He is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Jefferson Bar Association.
Womac is a member of America’s Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys as well as The National Trial Lawyer’s Top 100.
Their son, Ryan (Class of 2011), is an attorney at the Womac Law Firm.
Another clear proof of Womac’s devotion to his alma mater is that seven Archbishop Rummel alumni are employed by his law firm.
Womac is richly deserving of the prestigious honor of Archbishop Rummel Alumnus of the Year for 2022.
