OF THE YEAR
2021 ALUMNUS OF THE YEAR
DOMINICK F. IMPASTATO III '97
I have known Dominick Impastato III since we were eighth graders together at Archbishop Rummel High School in the fall of 1992. Since that time, I have watched Dominick display unwavering loyalty to the teachers, coaches, classmates, alumni and students of ARHS. The generosity that Dominick has shown speaks for itself, but his reason for this generosity places him above the rest. His actions are never motivated by personal recognition, rather for the satisfaction that he receives from the thought of him repaying his alma mater for everything that it has given him.”

Biography by Larry Holder '98, columnist for The Athletic
There are often clichés when it comes to an honor like an Alumnus of the Year award where you might think someone "personifies" a Rummel Raider. But for Dominick, he proudly lives and breathes Raider Pride in all aspects of his decorated life and career.
Dominick’s match of intelligence and charisma took off almost immediately as an eighth grader. He began a three-year run as class president from 1992-1995, then served as student council vice president as a junior and then as student body president his senior year.
His extra-curricular activities extended across the board: two-year varsity letterman in football, Genesian Players, Big Brother, Raiders Digest editor, Mu Alpha Theta and National Honors Society. All of this led to Dominick earning salutatorian for the class of 1997.
Predictably, Dominick’s achievements have carried across his life.
Dominick served as an LSU student senator for two years (1998-2000) and then became the president of LSU School of Business. He’s also a proud Acacia fraternity alum where he served as chapter president for two years.
After graduating from LSU, his accolades continued at Loyola Law School where he was named to the Loyola Law Review and National Moot Court Team in which he was named the Southeastern United States Top Oral Advocate and Top Brief Writer in 2004.
With his law career up and running, he wasted little time becoming involved with Rummel once again. He served on the ARHS Alumni Board from 2008-2016, being named board president from 2009-2011.
Dominick is a partner in the law firm Frischhertz & Impastato. In 2014, he was elected to the Kenner City Council, serving as Council President. In 2017, he was elected as Councilman for Jefferson Parish, and he was re-elected in 2019, the position in which he currently serves.
Dominick and his wife, Shannon, reside in Kenner with their three children, Dominick IV (Class of 2025), Mia and Joseph. He’s also serving his second term as a Jefferson Parish Councilman serving District 4.
